I have been dropping in on this new place at 1600 Bloor w off and on since they opened to see what the talent is like.

So far they just have one heavy set Russian manning the place. She insists that in a week or two it will be stocked with seven older Russian MPAs but just her for the time being.

She seems real nice and I may just take one for the team but here's the catch 22: she would like to get some younger MPAs in but she needs more customers first.

So for all you downtown punters that complain about the lack of decent massage lets support this easy to get to spot and see if santa might bring us some fresh ones this Christmas!

Methinks that if they bring them in, we will come. Not the other way around.

No restaurant gets its customers by provided lower quality food with the promise that it'll get better when things pick up.

i live around this area, and i agree there is a deffinate lack of spas. but i think there is a good reason for this. i remember about a year ago there was a place called the 'secret spa' that opened between dundas and parkside on bloor. it only lasted about a month and a half before it was busted hard! i think people around here are very much 'not in my back yard' types.

just my $.02 mind you, but i could live with myself if some poor massageplanet.netite got busted on christmas.

There is the famous Dupont Health Spa on Dupont, just east of Keele

There is A and R on Dundas just west of Jane

There is a place at Bloor and Jane, I think it's 16 Jane Street, you can see the neon "open" sign right from Jane Street

There is a new place called Jane Street Health (same goofie neon plam tree as Dupont, I wonder if they are related (lot's of people in Bloor West Villiage looking to impove their health???) at Jane and Annette.

There are about 5 MP's on the Queensway, ok, a bit west, but still a 5 minute drive.

The area is bursting with MP's.

Took the plunge tonite and "Survey Says", not bad.

The dark haired girl (and I uses that term loosely, she's 37) gives a lot for just the room fee. YMMV but really seemed eager.

If you can forget that it could be HFH or BP with the matching caliber of attendants then I believe you could have good time here... for now!

I"ve been to several mps downtown and generally... aside from Ruby's I find the bulk of them run-down and operated by old/fat/ugly/uninteresting women.

Any recommendations out on queensway or bloor west?

this dude's post was about the bloor and parkside area. the queensway and parklawn is close by car but come on, it's not the same neighbourhood at all. the same applies to a & r, it would take me about 45 mins to walk there from my house. i could walk to st. clair and dufferin in the same time, is that in bloor west too? as for the jane and bloor parlours i agree that's more in the area but the neighbours are more white bread and permisive over there. the place i'm talking about (secret spa) was right between parkside and dundas almost across the street from the lithuanian commmunity centre. and trust me it was busted. they had a police notice up in the window for about two months after describing the lewd acts that went on there. anyway, i just saw this guy's post and thought i'd share what i know about the neighbourhood.

Well, I drove by the joint in the Jane Arbour Centre about 5 minutes ago, the "open" sign was on. I don't really know if this means for SURE they are open, but......

And the place at Jane and Annette, is on the EAST side of jane about 3 doors south of the CIBC, not the one that used to be further south on Jane and on the west side. This place is on the east side.

It was open as of last week, haven't checked it, nor have i been to either.

okay.. let's be clear here.

At ruby's you very likely won't find an interesting conversation... you very likely won't get NR/BS much less bj/fs.... You very likely won't find an attendant that looks like a porn star.

You do get to 40 mins for $40... a very good massage.... fairly low restrictions to touching... and pretty good value for your money. And their attendents are by no means ugly. (all fairly good boobs + fairly young etc).

So would I recommend? definitely.. Ruby's is my favourite mpa within the downtown core.

Never had fs there or anything nearing it but went there for massage 3 times. They were closed becaust the mickey mouse shower stalls they put in flooded the travel agency downstairs. Good resason to kick them out I'd say!

The spa just south of Annette on the east side of Jane is indeed open. I drove by it on Saturday evening (not too late - about 8:00) and the neon palm tree was lit up and the open sign was on the door...


Now we just need someone to take one for the team!
