The Ministry of Industry, Enterprise and Trade has closed 26 massage parlors and nightclubs.
In the announcement made to the media, it is stated that the Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade (MINT), through the Market Inspectorate, from May 10-14, 2023, inspected 66 economic operators that exercise the activity of body maintenance/massage salons, clubs of night/live music and dancing, operating in the municipalities of: Pristina, Fushë-Kosovë, Gjakovë, Malishevë and Rahovec.
"Out of them, 26 economic operators have been temporarily closed because they have been operating in violation of the provisions of the Law on Internal Trade, punitive fines have been imposed on 12 economic operators, for the detected violations of the Law on Consumer Protection, as well as based on the Criminal Code of Kosovo, criminal charges have been filed against 4 economic operators for removing or damaging the official seal", the announcement states.
The Ministry announces that the inspections were carried out in cooperation with the Kosovo Police/Directorate for the Investigation of Human Trafficking (DHTQNJ), and the inspectors of the Tax Administration of Kosovo (ATK).
The Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade, with the Market Inspectorate, remains committed to the supervision of the implementation of applicable laws in the Republic of Kosovo and towards achieving this goal, activities and inspections will continue in the following days and months. /Telegraph/
