Anti inflammatory oil blend

Hello Aromatherapy people

I would like some advice if possible. I need to find a good anti inflammatory blend for massage. Its my own legs that are causing the problems and i massage them reguarly with normal almond oil but throught i could combine the positive impact of essential oils as well.

I would like to buy an already blended mixture is possible do you know where i could find one or if one of you could mix one for me?

Do you spend a lot of time on your feet - also what could be causing the inflammation - is it fluid retention (oedema) where do you get it specifically on your legs - and what is your general health like at the moment - do you have any medical problems that you are aware of?

Let me know and I will then be in a better position to advise you on essential oils.

The problem has been diagnosed as shin splints that first flared up over 3 years ago during athletics training. I have had physio and not been able to solve the problem.

Recently went to the biomechanics department and found out that i have very high arched feet and that means that the rpoblem won't miraculously go away but can be managed. I am currently waiting for some custom made orthotics (shoe inserts) which will support the arch and ease the pain.

I am being told that the pain is caused my micro tears and inflammation in the muscles attached to the shin. I have been recommended ibuprofen gel but i am allergic to this and have no real desire to commit myself to a life time of pain killers.

I have found massage alone to really help but then thought i could give essential oils a go too.

Chamomile and Calendula (marigold)have antiinflammatory properties andare safe and gentle to use.

What about a half/half mix of base calendula oil and St John's Wort oil with lavender and chamomile?
