Any advice on this client would be of help.
She had her first and clearly servere anxiety attack about 4 weeks ago, in 3 weeks she lost a stone. The doctor has put her on antideppressants, she is experiencing a heavy feeling in her left arm and slight numbness, doctor says trapped nerve. I always think ofthe left side of body as emotional!
Occasional shooting pains down calf muscle. Left hand noticed swollen fingers at times.
Regular headaches, taking alot of paracetomol.
She works from home and only leaves the house maybe 2 days out of 7. She had a puppy which she has just given up due to this present condition, she is now very upset and lonely without the dog (we had alot of tears after a gentle nurturing massage). She is 49 years old, possibly at very early stage of menopause, periods not so regular and alot heavier when they do come.
She liked our session (was our 1st) and is coming back in 2 weeks.
Have recommended she takes some gentle excercise, a walk/swim daily to get her out of house. She lives with hubby who works and when at home always doing DIY, her 2 children (in 20's) both moved out in Dec.
I thinkin grief is a part of this, the loss of her children, dog, possibly she feels not so needed, lost her calling a little.
Just want to hear some views on this to confirm my thoughts and to maybe give me other angles on this.
