Aromatherapy kits

Can anyone enlighten me as to the contents of an aromatherapy kit, as I'm supposed to buy one for my VTCT aromatherapy course? I've been studying aromatherapy for about 10 years and am now getting "qualified", so I have over 50 EOs and don't want to spend a lot of money on stuff I've already got.

I think they are all different. I am studying Level 3 Aromatherapy Diploma and I have just been given my list of mandatory oils which are:

Black Pepper
Chamomile - German & Roman
Clary Sage
Eucalyptus
Frankincense
Geranium
Grapefruit
Juniper
Lavender
Lemon
Mandarin
Marjoram
Neroli
Patchouli
Peppermint
Rose otto
Rosemary
Sandalwood
Ti tree
Ylang Ylang

21 mandatory

And 10 minimum from the following list:

Basil
Benzoin
Bergamot
Cedarwood
Cypress
Fennel
Ginger
Jasmine
Lemongrass
Melissa
Petitgrain
Pine
Thyme
Vetivert

10 out of 14

All the following Carrier Oils are mandatory as well:

Avacado
Calendula
Evening Primrose
Grapeseed
Jojoba
Macademia
Peach Kernal
Sweet Almond
Wheatgerm

9 mandatory carrier oils

I bought my kit from Eve Taylors as I use their facial range and I liked the idea of incorporating their EO's into my treatments. It was their large kit, included all but 3 of the oils if I remember correctly and had 6 carrier oils included and in a carrier case.

Hi - your college will be able to confirm which oils are needed - I had to use 20 mandatory oils and then learn the profile of an additional ten - I have heard that the VTCT make slight changes to the oils each year so will probably have most of them if you have oils in your collection.
Good luck with the studies - I loved learning aromatherapy as it was so different and wanted to incorporate this into my massages.

Thanks for this - the college have given me the list of oils and I do have most of them. It's what's in the kit that isn't aromatherapy oils that concerns me most. For example, if I need graduated measuring cups, I've got a set which I got from Betterware, and I'm not shelling out for "special" aromatherapy ones just because it's in the kit, if you see what I mean. In other words, what else do I need to get? The college just say "get a kit it's easier" but ease is not my main concern at the moment, it's money!

hi, hope your well. i started my vctc Aromatherapy level 3. in sept. I have to say the college i'm at got a really great deal on starter kits for us. in a handy carrying box too! should be helpfull for home visits. They are all organic aswell. www.aromantic.co.uk hope this is of some help. x
