Aromatherapy

Help!! I'm after an aromatherapy consultation form.. something that has a database linked to it... so that contra-indications are pointed out.. this will be better than actually filling in consultation forms on paper.. this way i'll have information at hand.. can anyone help??? Any other ideas about consultation forms??? thanx

Not sure why you want to have a database attached with contraindications. Are you studying aromatherapy then? If so, you should really know what the contraindications are without having to rely on a database to tell you. Imagine if it went down....you would be stumped![]

I agree with Candie, CI's are something that you should be aware of on an automatic basis. There is also a lot to be said for being able to demonstrate to a new client (you'd only be doing a consultation form with a new client) that you are knowlegable about the therapy you are practicing. Knowing your CI's, rather than trawling through a database will look much more professional and give your client more confidence in you.

I guess you are training at the moment - believe me, you will soon be able to rattle off CI's with no problem. At first these things seem like an insurmountable mountain, but it will come with time.

Thanx candie and waywood... Yes i'm study aromatherapy.. its not that i'm not aware of the contra-indications.. dont get me wrong.. I was after a consultation form not only to highlight CI's but the benefits of the essential which are to be used, a quick easy guide for the client if they wish to understand it further. (am i looking into this too deeply??) I'm still brainstorming with new ideas, i just don't know where to begin... like you said waywood.. it will all come in time.. Are you both practicing aromatherapy?

Right ok. Now why would the client need to come to you then? You are providing the service here. What you can do is ADVISE after treatment which oils will benefit them and how to use them safely. If you want to you can print off sheets with oils for certain conditions and advice etc (as we do) but you are not expected to provide this service, just an individual treatment or treatment plan.

Concentrate on training for yourself and when you have learned and continue to learn then you can pass this on to your clients in your conversation.
