Here I would like to introduce some simple ways to relax and calm yourself using an aromatherapy bath.
Before you prepare your bath, you should shut the door and window to prevent the essential oil vapours from escaping. When you fill your bath, make sure the temperature is comfortable. Normally, warm or fairly hot water will be good for your skin and improve the results of your aromatherapy bath. Once you have run your bath, dilute the essential oil in any of the following base oils: sweet almond, grapeseed or sesame.
Try these different mixes for the following purposes:
Muscle Relaxing Aromatherapy Bath:
5 drops of Lavender essential oil or
5 drops of Cypress essential oil
blended with 1 teaspoon (about 5ml) of sweet almond, grapeseed or sesame base oil.
Calming:
5 drops of Ylang ylang essential oil or
5 drops of Sandalwood essential oil or
5 drops of Lemon essential oil
blended with 1 teaspoon (about 5ml) of sweet almond, grapeseed or sesame base oil.
Spend thirty minutes soaking yourself in the bath to get the full benefits from the aromatherapy oils.
