Average # of massages?
I think full time is 20 - 25 per week. I think the main thing on a schedule like this is to must your schedule very well organized. The better organized it is, then the more focused you can become, which makes the schedule pretty nice. I have found (not that I can always do it), that if you can actually make your schedule book with little stars in it for the times you take people, you can create a much nicer schedule. The clients may complain a bit at first, but if you tell them, I can take you at "*", "*", "*" or "*" (you insert the times you like for the stars), they eventually start to ask for a specific time. Of course, there are times you may change what your schedule is going to be, but it really does help a lot. I've said before, but I'll put it here too-- I like to work: 11:00, 12:30, 3:30, 5:30 and 7:00 appointments. I try to keep my schedule like this, but on occasion I take a 2:00pm (usually if I do, I come in later or leave earlier). Of course, I am not always this busy and the schedule isn't always this pretty, but it is the way I try to schedule. It works with the flow of traffic and my sleeping patterns.
If you are working a part time job on top of the massage business, keep in mind, full time will be less massages.Part time anything from 12-20 per week.Less than 12, is super part-time. But, that is for my own body type and capabilities.5 a week could very well be full time and maxing ones self out, for another individual. We all have our limits.I have done as many as 8 per day -- and that is just way too much.
