Not that I have anything against prostitution, but I'm surprised Craig's List has been able to operate so long without being closed by down by the police.
I don't have a problem if they verify the phone number of some of the sellers. At least it will cut down on robs if some of these girls and their pimps know they could be traced.
A few months ago I was selling a couple of cars at the same time on Craig's list and because I put up the ad too much or some unknown reason? I had to verify my phone number with Craig's list before I could re-post my ad. I think I had to give them my number and a recording called me write back asking me to press the pound key or something like that.
BTW there are a lot of scams with the used cars on Craig's list, and the biggest scams don't list their phone number. I once emailed a car ad too good to be true, and sure enough they told me the car is in Iraq and belonged to some dead solider and he of course no longer need the car, so all I had to do is send them a few thousand to ship the car back to the states, and then I could just about have the car for a few more thousand.
The car was something like a 2006 Camry for $5000?
