Hi, I'm interested in using essential oils/aromatherapy for healing body and mind. I'm a bit unusual though in that I have had hayfever all my life and learned to cope by developing an aversion to anything flowery. I'm well aware of normal advice on a starter kit, but I react badly to smells like lavendar and jasmine for instance. What I would really like is advice on a practical selection of 6 or 10 good starter oils that are either non-flowery or less obviously flowery to ease me into using them. Also does anyone know of a good book with a leaning towards earthy rather flowery recipes?
Thanks
Oh, just incase a bit of background would help...... I'm 47, in a very close relationship, work fulltime for NHS in an adminstrative capacity, have several health problems including overweight which I'm finally successfully shrinking and awaiting a hip replacement so coping with pain 24/7. I'm seeking~in~nature the ways and methods for healing addictions (food and emotional)and inbalances in my life. Hoping to come through this as a better, more content and positive person!
Thanks
