I was thinking about this, too and remembering a few memorable SP's. I was thinking in particular about Rose/Lois at XP and how happy and friendly she was- and then I thought "but she wasn't really strikingly beautiful, was she?" Yes, I'd say attitude seems to have a more lasting effect than beauty!
