Best place to buy rose otto?

Hello

I have a few essential oils which I use in the bath / burners and would really love to add rose otto to my collection. I know it is expensive but the price seems to vary from place to place and so presumably the quality does too. I only want a tiny bottle to start with. Where is the best place to by from? And do you go for the essential oil or the absolute?

Purple Flame Aromatherapy do a Rose Otto in Jojoba oil, which I've just bought. They do do a Rose Otto undiluted but it's soooo expensive!

I have to say that as an aromatherapist I would not use rose otto in the bath or burner - it is such an exquisite essential oil - that I could only use it either in a blend for the face or as a perfume. I adore it. Have you looked at Essentially Oils website - I bought some from there once - but for the most part I've made do with the Rose Absolute - which I love too.

HI, in my experience www.kobashi.co.uk have some really high quality oils and they are very high on ethic too. Yes It does cost a bit but with a good quality rose otto essential oil, you would only need to use one drop at a time as it is so powerful.

Well, I've just read through Essentially Oils Newsletter and due to the bad climate conditions for growing roses (and presumably other plants yielding essential oils), the rose harvest is sadly depleted this year. The three major rose oil producing countries had, mild and dry winter, late frosts and a lack of rain in the Spring. As a result of all this the harvest is down by one third compared to the previous year.

In Morocco, the blossoms were destroyed by frosts - and there was virtually no production.

This all means that the price of rose oil is going to rocket. The Rose oil from Turkey is increasing by 40%.

If you see it at the old price buy it.

I will, because I too love rose oil.

Hi Guys,

The best Rose Otto that I've ever smelt and always purchase is from Alan Howell www.shechina.co.uk . I teach Aromatherapy and have smelt sooo many different oils of varying grades and always come back to Alan Howell.
