Black Seed (Nigella sativa)

Can anyone help please. I have been researching Black Seed (Nigella sativa) sometimes referred to as black cumin or black caraway. Black Seed is a cold pressed vegetable oil derived from the seeds of the bushy, flowering plant Nigella sativa. The plant is known by a wide range of pseudonyms including fennel flower, nutmeg flower, Roman coriander, onion seed, and in the USA it is known as charnushka, which is derived from Russian.

My research tells me that it can be used as a carrier oil but the only places I can find on the net that sell it have it as an essential oil and at a price that would prohibit it's use as a carrier oil.

I would appricite any views as to it's use as a carrier oil and any possible sources of supply.

Hi, I love this oil and have uses it a lot with animal therapy over the last few years but I also use it blended 50/50 with a neutral base for topical application to arthritic joints. I only use the expressed oil, the one you would see listed as a carrier. In animal therapy it seems to work well with pain in the musculo/skeletal system and circulatory issues but I've had pet rats select it who are suffering from both respiratory problems and tumours and arthritic dogs go mad for it when they are stiff and sore, especially on cold and damp weather. It is very hot and peppery to the taste and you may need to be cautious about possible skin irritation and especially avoid contact with mucous membranes and eyes (as you would normally anwyay )
You can get it easily from most suppliers...Essentiallly Oils always have it in stock and you will also get it from Kobashi, Fragrant Earth et al.
