Blue Pearl - Bad Rap or Valid Criticism?

I have been visiting the BP for over 3 years now. I am not a heavy user, usually once a month. I usually alternate between BP and Body & Soul, depending on who is on duty at each place. These two places are the most convenient for me to visit.

During all of my visits to BP I can honestly say that I have had two bad experiences. The first one was the MPA was not my type, I just showed up and tried whoever was free. The second one I made an appointment with and she turned out to be terrible. This happens from time to time.

Maybe I have been lucky, or maybe I am just using the proper strategy of consistently using the same 3 or 4 MPA' s whom I have seen in the past and whom I tried on the basis of a number of positive reviews on the "boards".

I would be interested in hearing other "veterans's" ideas / opinions on the subject. While I have no connection with the ownership at BP I hate to see a place that I have had positive experinces with get blasted. However, if the criticism is valid then maybe I have just been lucky and I should consider myself forewarned.

There are gems that pop up at this place. I wouldn't write any place off based on reviews. However, the praised decor is no reason to run either.

BP reminds me of a place in Vancouver that also has a very in-your-face type location that does well (mostly b/c of location), but all the locals stay away as it's known as a major rip-off joint. I've been a few times, and I can verify that this place has it's issues (both mangm't and girls). It's also the only place I've ever been to that I can say LE has been present on multiple occasions. Why? Who knows, but if I'm not in the door when they show, I'm not going in when they're there. It's also the only place I've ever been where on my way out an unmarked car was taking down plates in the back lot (if you're going to go, park elsewhere). I've made appointments, verified the girl was there, and after a 20min. drive found out it was BS and had another girl forced upon me.. All that said, I've had a couple of great sessions there over time...

I haven't been in a long time, I had issues with one lady (no longer there) playing head games and a couple stories concerned me. but I have had good experiences there too. Jessica who is still there definately comes to mind.

Yah, the problem is reliability. I have had one excellent session at BP and a couple of below average ones. Platinum, for me, is more reliable. As in 9.5 for 10. If I am not mistaken, BP is more expensive. Gotta pay for that Gucci reno somehow....

The only great sessions i have ever had at BP were with other mp runaways like Lisa and Rosa.
The best thing about the place was it was super convenient to get to but when B&S showed up and offered equitable services for a much reduced price I basically said goodbye to BP. Also the fact that Sandi left AC to be a hostess at B&S helped me make the transition very smoothly.
I have also had the unfortunate effect of calling for a certain girl, making an appointment, showing up and being told she either didnt show up for work or she was never there and i had never made an appointment, oh and why dont you stick around and see someone else that you really dont want to see.

As I've mentioned before in other posts, I had the old 'Bait'n Switch' pulled on me at Blue Pearl a number of times.

I've also made appointments, and then the attendant didn't show up for her shift (which in fairness to Sal, is not something he can easily control.)

Body and Soul or Platinum are in the area and are far better options.

B&S and Platinum offer less expesnsive sessions and more consistancy in services, attitudes and price. I've never been ripped off at B&S or Platinum or heard of anybody else being ripped off either. Personally, I've never been ripped off at BP but I have heard of stories. I never have been as comfortable at BP as I am at B&S or Platinum as there's just something different about the vibe there that I never got comfortable with. There's just an attitude that I get from this place (as if they think they are more superior than other spas) that doesn't sit well with me.

I haven't written this place off completely yet but they need a great MPA that is consistant and well reviewed to make me go back.

I had good experiences at BP with Vanessa and Stephanie. Both are not there any more, however. Anyone know where they went?

I was there for a total of 4 times. For a 30 minute body slide I paid fifty (entry) and hunnard (masseuse) bucks. Was that a ripoff?
