Just a bit of heads up if you're planning on going there...

I was there twice this week, and both times, I've noticed a Stealth
cruiser hanging around looking at plates. I'm not sure if this is a
growing trend or whatever, but same thing is happening at Golden
Touch Spa (on Milvan & Finch).


No big deal... just some heads up

I always drove there. I suppose I might continue to if I ever go back. But maybe it'll be a good time to Ride The Rocket there. Let the cruiser take the licence plate of the TTC bus down, wouldn't bother me.

Which bus drives along Bridgeland Ave. anyway?

I have mentioned this before. I have been stopped once while making a u-turn cause I missed the entrance. Asked a few questions then let go....

if using the ttc you could take the subway to yorkdale mall and walk over

on the other hand taking down licence plates is no big deal there are other businesses in that lot. Also the way the area is laid out a cop can't really hide so just do a drive by if you're scared.

They do the same thing at SCs - nothing to worry about. Its been mentioned many times in the SC area. Theory is that the criminal element tend to patronize places such as SCs and MPs. Cops check the license plates for any outstanding warrants, tickets, etc... There's nothing illegal about going to an MP. I can understand coming out of a SC and being scared about being pulled over for drinking and driving. But if they pull you over after coming out of a MP - what are they going to ask? "Excuse me sir, but have you been getting off tonight?" I'd hate to see them make you blow for that!

"paranoia strikes deep. Into your heart it will creep" The police check license plates when they are cursing. It's part of their job. The cop on the beat is there to keep things safe and quiet. If they do that at mp's I'm as thankful as if they do it at my accountants. When the sc opened near my office I was worried that things would go downhill in the neighborhood. The opposite is true. The constant police presence is better security than I could ever afford to pay for. Enjoy the security and next time buy him a donut.

I noticed the cruiser looking up plates at Cannonballs.
Me & my buddy walked over to the cop and he told us the same deal. They believe many criminals frequent Adult Entertainment places so they run the plates of all the cars and he said that so far the turnaround has been good. I saw them 2 days before as well.

If they find a target, they park elsewhere far away and wait for the kill Example: For CB they park at the building just North.

If you have a warrant out for you, I would stick to Internet Porn or TTC

lol yorkdale mall's TTC exit is quite a walking distance from B & S

walk through the mall. go to the bay store exit. walk across dufferin. go through holiday inn's parking lot. 1km at most from the bay store exit to b&s. did it yesterday. there are plenty of people walking, not all going to b&s of course but to the businesses occupying the matchbox industrial complex which is bridgeland.

If LE was really concerned about individuals, they'd be stopping you as you leave a place. It's just like Maddog and Taz are saying - they're not interested in the place - they're just doing their jobs.

Got to say - I'd be more worried if there was a politician parked in the lot taking license numbers - those are the people you really have to worry about!
