Booking problems at Star

I called Star Studio to determine who might be available.
The lady on the phone indicated
Liz
Katrina
Talia
A quick searh of the reviews indicated Liz was the one for me, so I called back requesting a 9:30 appointment.
9:30 was booked, could I make it for 9:00?
I told her it would be touch and go to make it for 9:00 and I might be a couple of minutes late, but please book the time.
After some aggressive driving (nothing stupid of course) I knocked on Stars door at 9:01 and indicated I was here for the 9:00 appointment with Liz.
Katerina told me Liz had just started a message with a customer.
"Thats my appointment, WTF"
Katerina went to discuss this with the receptionist.
She then told me Liz was not feeling well and had left and would I be interested in a message from her.
No thank you (she is on the heavy side -not my type)

Assuming there were three ladies there, Liz was in an appointment, Katerina has a heavy russian accent which did not match the voice on the phone, that leaves Talia who took the call from me.
When I got home I caled back and got the same voice. I said "thank you for wasting my time" Her response was OK. No appologie , no explaination

Two things I am pissed about
a) When I go to the trouble of booking an appointment and driving to a location, I expect that apppointment to be fulfilled. Shit happens and I can accept that as long as there is a sincere explaination and an attempt to some level of customer service
b) One minute Katerina tells me Liz is in doing a massage, two minutes later she tells me liz left earlier. I could tell from her expression Katerina was not comfortable telling me this lie and it was not her who came up with this bullshit.
I do not like being lied to. It shows a complete lack of respect. It also indicates they believe I am stupid enough to believe such a friviously pile of shit

While I can not determine with 100% accuracy the culprit is Talia, logic indicates it is. I would not book an appointment with this lier even if she paid me the $

Well, that's unfortunate but perhaps Talia is not to blame. She did mention a receptionist and I have seen a receptionist at Star who was not working the rooms. Also, Liz may not have been in a session when you originally called. So she could have taken the appointment also.

I suggest Pm'ing Ginger. She's on this board quite often, and I'm sure you'll receive a reply to your complaint.

If memory serves correctly, (after 4 double Cognacs) Ginger has been good at fixing up problems in the past. I'm sure she'll be able to help you out with this situation.

Sukdeep has a point it is the nature of this business...stuff like this happens to me once and while...you book appointments and they either didn't take your name down or they wrote down the wrong name......the higher end spa's even have these problems

If this one time thing turns you off star then you will be missing out on a number of great ladies at a very reasonable price. I have been going to this chain for years and in the past i have had missed appointments in similar circumstances. After these incidents i also get mad and take my business elsewhere but i have always come back i just can't seem to find a place that compares. If you mention this error next time you see lthe lady she will surely appologize and if not there are many other great girls at this location.

I love the Star ladies -- I really do. That's why I keep going back. But I've had a few incidents like this too. Just last week, I called first thing in the morning (9AM). Booked an appointment with Tamara for 9:30. Was told by the lovely Erica that Tamara wasn't in yet. This was 9:00 in the morning after all... and many girls are a little late strolling in. I can understand this somewhat in this industry, but as a business owner it's BS.

So I arrive at 9:20 for my 9:30 appointment. Erica let me in and suggested I get ready for Tamara. I did. Then waited and waited. No sign of Tamara by 9:50 so I got dressed and left after half an hour. Not a happy camper.

I had the same thing happen to me last week.

I called to book with Liz, was told to make it 5:40pm since she starts at 5:30. No problem. Made the booking. Arrived at 5:40.

I heard the girls talking through the door, Liz asked Katrina (Who answered the door) if I was white. Katrina answered NO, Liz then told her to tell me that she had another appointment coming soon and couldn't see me! WTF?

Talia came to the door and broke the news to me...even though I had already heard every word. She then said she'd be glad to see me...I had seen her once before and wasn't quite satisfied, so I declined and left.

Does Liz have something against non-white men?

Speaking of receptionists, i saw one at Star the other night... she looked eurasian, but had way too much clothes on for a female in an MP (long sleeve dress shirt + sweater)...

Anyhow, any word whether she may "convert"???

I can attest to what Happy just said about Liz. She is far from being a racist.

You take the good with the bad at the B chain. The have awesome ladies that provide topnotch service but at the same time, they also have mediocre talents that make you wonder why they are even in the biz..

I also had some simular problems, but they were mostly my fault for being 10-15 minutes late. You can't blame the ladies for taken on walk-ins if they arrive before you do. Only once I showed up early and my appointment was not met.
