Can someone clear this up for me

When I rang and signed up for my insurance I asked about aromatherapy oils for my massage. I was under the impression I could use premixed oils, but couldn't mix my own. The lady on the phone-wrote her name down somewhere-said that I could even premix my own, but I couldn't make(as in grow) my own. I could only use oils from another manufacturer because then, in the event of a claim-the insurance company can go back to the manufacturer.
I've had some aromatherapy training because of various spa/beauty courses I've done, but she didn't know that.
Now I don't know what to believe? I was surprised I could use preblended oils-which is why I asked about that, and I'm shocked to know I can mix my own!
Maybe it's different for every company. They didn't even want to see my documents-I went with professional beauty direct I think it's called-and I was surprised by that.
Can anyone clarify?

Hi

I'm with Professional Beauty Direct and under Professional Beauty Cover (A) it lists all that I'm covered for - 'Aromatherapy Treatments' being one on the list.

When you read the Warranties it states 'the insured will hold the relevantcertificates and/or qualifications applicable to the treatments for which cover is required'.

It's quite ambiguous but I wouldn't risk doing something that I'm not covered for by insurance.

I'll ring them and check if you like.

Ohh I'd really appreciate that. I'd ring again but I just spoke to the woman yesterday and if I ring and ask the exact same question today she'll think i'm nuts. Ibemore than happy to be able touse preblended ones-like for cellulite, but I told her I didn't have a cert for aromatherapy and she said that's ok I could still mix my own. [sm=scratchchin.gif]

I've called them and this is what I've been told:

'If you're not a qualified Aromatherapist, you are not insured to make up blends or use pre-mixed blends'.

If I were you, I'd call them back and get that clarified yourself. Don't worry about asking the same question - it's important that you get it cleared up.
