can you really make a good living being a sports massage therapist?

i have been qaulified for two years now and have a few clients but the problem is i need help expanding now as everywhere i ring they dont have jobs or have someone , i have cards etc but nothing seems to come of it? can you really make a secure and stable living in this industry?

This is nothing to do with sports massage. This is to do with starting a new business and the never ending quest of finding clients. It took me 4 years before I broke even. You can try anything you like, cards, adverts, phoning, letters, the only one I found that worked was word of mouth recommendations.

If you didn't notice there's a recession on, people are not going to be spending money on things they don't need to.

I only know of two - one is the therapist for the Detroit Tigers, and the other is the therapist for the US olympic team - and they both had "other jobs" while they worked to get there - - and as Nitram noted, there is a recession going on.

What most massage tx schools don't tell you, is that out of every 100 students, they KNOW that only 2 will be practicing massage in 2 years. Kind of unethical if you ask me. I wouldn't count on it as a profession, think of it as a side job to fund your christmas account

you can, look to either expand your services a little or start your own business, or both would be better,
