Taking a flu shot is only a safety net similar to the ones behind the goals at Scotiabank Place (Air Canada Center). If You're watching the game, you don't need it. Same with the flu shot. If you're strong and healthy, eat well balanced meals, excercise, and get 6-8 hours of sleep everyday, then you don't need it. The flu shot is actually a crap shoot. The flu shot vaccine is actually made up to a year before flu season starts. If you get a flu shot today, that vaccine you're getting was made probably last spring. The problem is, there is a different strain of flu every year, and there is no way of predicting correctly which strain will appear in the following flu season. So each season's vaccine is manufactured based on each specific strain of flu. Therefore since no one can predict which strain will occur next year, there's a good chance that the vaccine is made for the wrong strain of flu. It's all based on guesswork. I remember a few years ago, it was reported that the flu vaccine that people were getting were only 23% effective for that season. People that had the flu shot were still getting the flu in record numbers. Meanwhile, people like me, who didn't get the flu shot, never got the flu. So getting the flu shot isn't going to make anyone turn into Steve Austin and turn over cars with one hand. Lol.
