case study advice

Hi there all,

Hope all is well with you, sorry I have been away but had a bad turn of health there for a bit as my recovery had a slight backfire.

I am back on the study again and was wondering if anyone could help me with any advice on case studies. I have to make up 4 case studies and this is something I have never done before. I am not sure how to present it and I am also limited to being able to use anyone for a case study.

that was the way I had worded that, my mistake was half asleep today.

I mean what is the best way to present the information gathered from the case study and what areas need to be highlighted as i have way too much written down and as i say dont know how to go aout this really.

Hi,
Sorry you are not well; I presume your tutor would have told you all this if you had been able to get to college.

Basic format is: Client profile, lifestyle, physical, psychological and mechanical problems ( the bit which says 'integral biology' on the syllabus about outside forces, like walking to work in traffic fumes).

Treatment plan i.e. what they present with and what you intend to do about it.

Report of each treatment: date, time, place, how the client was before the treatment, what you did in the treatment (what oils you mixed, what areas of the body you concentrated on, etc). How the client felt before, during and after the treatment (important to talk about all three).

Then when you start the report on the next session, give a short feedback report on the previous session. The client told you how they felt after the session, but benefits are revealed for several days, so include a bit more of feedback obtained next session, this also shows you care about them and are interested in perfecting the treatment plan.

Finally, after you have recorded each treatment, finish with a short conclusion as to how you felt the study went, if you achieved the clients aims, what you learnt, how you improve it if you did it again, etc. Also include a written and sigfned statement from the client giving their version of what happened.
