Hi Clearlakes
My apologies for not welcoming you to Healthypages as newbie here. *hugs*
It was in answer to everyone, but just picking up also on the part where you said you couldn't believe they would treat their customers like this. My point being that I'm sure it wasn't their intention for the business to end up like that, after all, who wants their business to go into receivership? And stopping taking orders from customers wouldn't help to save the business if it's at the stage of "struggling".
I'm sure they took the payments with every intention of honouring them, but nobody can forsee the future, and things clearly went wrong. It seems harsh to judge them for trying to keep the business running when clearly unforseen circumstances happened. If it was a member of your family who desperately needed all your assistance, could you guarantee that you could fulfill all the orders places with your business? Would you stop taking orders and let the business fail, if you believed that you could still manage to keep it going at the same time, just because of a change of circumstances?
Few businesses are out there to just take orders without the intention of fulfilling them (only the cowboys do that). As you say, you (and others) have been loyal customers and been pleased with their services in the past, so why not recognise that this was obviously something out of their control. I'm sure if you've placed an order costing a great deal, then you are covered by your credit card company and will receive a refund, so just call your credit card company and explain the situation to them.
