I;m not sure about this one Julie, due to the fact that they are actually tightening up the rules regarding aromatherapy.
most people who have done a year's course at college are being urged to do a bridging courses to bring them up to the same standard as everyone else. I personally think this is shocking as I did my IIHHT diploma at a local college with faith in the qualification and refuse to 'upgrade'.
at the end of the day, you learn a different style of massage than the swedish techniques.
I also heard that most colleges now only teach 'aromatherapy' with ready-mixed oils. so you will use a revitalising blend for someone who needs a pick-me-up, a calming blend, etc, etc, which is shocking!!! I stress on my literature that the client gets a personal blend of essential oils to suit their individual needs emotionally and physically.
