Do most Christians here use aromatherapy?

for sleep disturbances or colds, I know some Christians that think it's demonic. I don't think it's demonic, but helpful and means that I don't need to use contemporary medicine.

Sorry charlie, er.. Mickey... The Buddha came up with all the necessary info 500 years before jesus showed up. The Buddha spoke of the Right Path, of inner reflection, of Englightenment... all the key points that jesus plagiarized. If the Buddha was not prophetic, how could jesus?

I do accept jesus as a great moral teacher. PERIOD Personally, I doubt he was the son o god- look at the difference in personality- the xtian god was sadistic, a true sociopath, whereas jesus spoke of 'turning the other cheek'. That rock fell very far away from the tree.

sadly, too many so-called xtians focus on the after-thought: personal, self-preservationist afterlife, rather than jesus' real message- social justice. But, face it, how many xtian worship houses would be filled with sinners seeking personal 'salvation' from the fearful hell-fire, if all they heard from the preacher was- do as jesus taught- give to OTHERS, love your brothers, and do not seek the kingdom of god here on earth? (S Sarah and Rickey Warren hate that part, eh?)

As for your either/or? Man-god or Satan? Now you're suggesting that Satan is preaching social justice?

It is not a religious practice, it is an herbal remedy and most people who can't take medications will use it. When you burn a candle in your home that is scented you are using aromatherapy. To say one does not use this and yet burns nice smelling candles or puts on perfume or even vix vapor rub when you have a cold is actually using aromatherapy. Scents help with soothing nerves, clearing sinuses, and even improving moods or smells which are about you. That is the basics of aromatherapy. so most everyone uses it from time to time.

yeah most christians don't use it just because most people don't. I am christian and don't think there is anything demonic about it. I don't believe there is anything in the bible against it either as long as you aren't devil worshiping over it

No most don't. For colds they may use certain scents and herbs at that time. For me it isn't demonic but there are some incenses that were part of temple worship and we need to wait until that returns to the temples. There is nothing wrong with contemporary medicine. God has created our minds to learn and find solutions. We have many helpful medications that help us though we also should keep our bodies healthy so we don't have to use much medication. I don't think we should rule out some aromatherapy and Eucalyptus oil and a few things like that do help us and doctors used it quite often at one time. Some still do. I think acupuncture may be helpful as well but few use it. It is expensive here as our insurances don't cover it.

im christian and i dont believe that theres anythign demonic about it..but aromatherapy isnt that popular among people. most people prefere to do stupid things like drug instead. dont worry about what others think. theres nothing wrong with aromatherapy
