Essential Oils - help!

Hi Everyone

I am looking for as much blurb on the country of origins for the following oils as possible:

PETITGRAIN
RAVENSARA
ROSE OTTO
HYSSOP

e.g. where the plants are native to, where most of the oil is now produced, etc. If anyone can give me ANY help I would be really grateful - it's for an assignment I'm doing at the moment.

Briefly, - Petitgrain used in aromatherapy should come from the species Citrus auratium amara, which is the bitter orange tree and grows mainly in Paraguay for the production of essential oil. This is the tree that also produces Neroli (from flowers) and Bitter Orange oil (fruit). Although citrus aurantium also grows in Tunisia, Spain and Greece, it is usually exclusively for Neroli.

Ravensara is produced almost exclusively in Madagascar, Rose Otto is produced in both Turkey and Bulgaria (my favourite), and Hyssop is grown in France and Hungary.

Follow the links for 'Organic oils' and select 'Sources and Origins' where you will information about Rose Otto and Neroli. They also have some good information about oil testing too.

If you are a customer they even have a telephone helpline to offer advice for lots of things. I have been a customer for years and they never let me down.
