HELP

If I go offline and someone chats with me, will i know? Because I went online and there was this red thing on top of the chatbox but it said the person was offline. Does that mean that he talked to me while i was offline?

When you go offline, if the person is trying to IM you he would be able to IM you but you wouldn't respond. It would show on his end as No One Online if you were the only person on his friends list. Hope this helps, good luck!

Were you talking to that person before you signed off last time? Facebook chat is kind of weird sometimes- it resets old chats and sometimes a previous chat will appear and it thinks you have new messages when you don't. When you're offline you cannot receive messages, the person attempting to IM you will get a notice saying "so and so is offline- send in a message?" and then they have the choice of A forgetting about it and talking to you later, or B. sending what they were about to send in a regular message.
