I've had the opportunity to meet (electronically and otherwise) many massageplanet.net members in my quest for information about the massage parlour business. But at this point I have to say the guys have been a lot more forthcoming than the women. With absolutely no disrespect meant to the many generous guys who have helped me out --- Ladies, don't let the guys be the ones who tell me all about your lives!

To recap, I'm a TV writer who's developing a new series set in a massage parlour. My main characters are the women who work there, and I'm interested in portraying their lives in their entirety - at the parlour, at home, with family, friends, neighbours, anyone and anything else you can imagine.

Seriously, MPA's are so misunderstood...we're really no different from anyone else. I can't think of a single attendant who treats their family, friends or neighbors (???) any differently than if they weren't doing massage.

The reason your doing a T.V. show is because the only thing society has to go on about the people in this business is the Jerry Springer show. This is why the general public has no understanding that it isn't the degenerates of the world that go to massage parlours or work there... It's the attractive dateable and marriable men, it's the really nice girl or lady next door that spends all day playing with her kids and gets a sitter while she slips out late at night. No wife suspects the husbands that slip out for a quick massage because he's the amazing Dad that's always a reliable husband that constantly puts up with her moodiness and weight gain after pregnacy that he pretends not to notice.
Why is he so amazing? Because he has that little bit of pleasure and guilt to reflect back on to get through the next week or 2 of family life.
He's not the creep that goes to the bar late at night making his wife upset, taking off his ring and coming home too late and drunk stinking of perfume. Those guys want to find a freebie from some innocent girl that believes it when he tells her of his fast car and loads of money and no wife and kids. His ego is through the roof and wouldn't dare pay because he doesn't need to he's too cool for that.

Life isn't black and white and massage girls or regulars aren't either just as men are visual women emmotional. To men Lust and Love are completely different, women often get confused.

There is a world where you can judge a book by it's cover it's just what's inside may surprise you. The thing is to use all of this to your advantage and live life to the max as respectfully as you can.

That's where society is nieve respect and intelligence can not always be judged by what you see someone doing it is how they do it... But what do I know I'm just a massage girl with my own company..

here's why i'm setting a TV show in a massage parlour:

because it's a compelling milieu

because people have their own ideas, right and wrong, about who the people are who work there and use the services, so it's fun to explore those ideas, and possibly challenge them

because I believe that what you do for a living doesn't define who you are
