Frequently asked questions to an mpa!

Many massageplanet.netites are amazed and astonished when
they hear certain questions/comments other clients
ask us. It appears to me that many massageplanet.netites have a
great amount of respect and discretion (save for a few)
when talking candidly with an mpa, however, the
following are often asked in some/every session. I
understand the natural curiosity and eagerness to
find out private details, however, some of the following
I would never ask a client, but these are the ones
many mpa's would agree they are asked. LOL.

1. How much money do you make?
2. How long have you been doing this?
3. When was the last time you had sex?
4. Do you have kids/husband/boyfriend?
5. Does your father/mother know you do this?
6. Does this spa make alot of money?
7. Do you really like your job?
8. I hope your going to school/bank your money?
9. Is this work all you do? 7 days a week?
10. Tell me how you f**k your boyfriend?
11. Do you get a lot of perverts, drunks, creeps,fetishes?
12. Tell me about your worst massage client?
13. Give me your cell #, we could date/f**k?
14. What car do you drive? What street do you live on?

Some questions are often, others not very often, others
are in every session!
So Gentlemen, after reading these, what were your
first reactions? Not suprised, suprised, astonished, or
any other reactions you care to add!

Keep in mind, some questions by regulars or men
who know how to phrase a question(s) politely and
respectively such as the genuine concern for wanting
the mpa to go to school or save $$ or a client asking
the "police question" at the end of the massage
so as not to conjure up bad thoughts during the
session are obviously an appropriate way to discuss
such matters. The above list, the, "mood breakers",
are when you see someone for the first time and
there is a constant influx of these questions point blank
during the session.

I think it is just wrong to ask anyone how much money they make, or what they do with there money.

I do however like to engage in small talk, and sometimes I do ask someone how long they have been massaging, or about bad clients, and sometimes we get into what other clients fetishes are. Any time I have discussed stuff like this it is a conversation that has flowed, between myself and the attendant.

I don't understand how it is wrong, offensive or a mood breaker.

The only question I've asked an MPA from the list above was "How long have you been doing this?" I don't think it is a mood-breaking question if asked in a nice way but rather more to do with expectations. I would expect that a MPA who has been in the business for a while do be more sensual and a newbie to be "getting there." But some questions from the list above can definitely can kill off a session. I've had a MPA from my earlier days in this hobby mention about perverts, drunks, creeps, and her worst massage client without me asking anything. It was just despressing for me and even though she was really hot, I had trouble finishing at the end since it was a "mood-killer."

You see Ladies Man, it's nice to know that when you
ask "How long have you been doing this?" that you
are really thinking about expectations. Sometimes
I think, the clients are really saying "It's taking you
a long time to get out of this work!". As if they think
your a bad person for doing this. When explainations
like yours make total sense. You know
when sometimes you have an internal "insult"
reaction in your head, but it's not really the case. In any
situation, not just in massage. Sometimes you take
it way too personally.

Tugger, I know what you mean. But if you re-read the post,
I said that these questions, point-blank, with someone new,
or someone who doesn't know how to phrase questions
polietly, can be "mood-breakers", not wrong, not offensive.
If the conversation flows with you and the mpa, then you
are obviously some with tact who knows how to discuss
things without it changing the atmosphere.

Picture this:
You go in to see your client and your about to begin
the massage and he says "You gotta boyfriend."
You answer and continue with the massage and he
says "Hey, has anyone ever wanted to take a dump
on you?"
You continue the massage, trying to change the
subjects and he says "What would you do if some
guy tried attack you or if you got followed leaving
here, has that ever happened?" It may be innocent
and all curosity, a young guy, but I have to answer the
question. This is what I mean in the post. Not a
client who casually asks me, "Who's the lucky guy you
share your time with?" or "You give a good massage,
how long have you been massaging".

But your right, phrased in the right way, some of the
questions are harmless and not "mood-breakers."

Seriously, never would I think that. Neither would many others here from what I see. Just about all the woman I have met with in this field have treated me exceptionally well. Much appreciated and always wishing you and them the best.

Ok, you got me.

Mostly just small talk when you talk about how long someone's been at their job. On the occassions with the pretty MPA, a bit of the 'Pretty Woman' syndrome that may be she's the one.

On ocassion I'll make small talk and ask how long the attendant has been at the MP - assuming I don't know. This might lead to asking where else she has worked but that's about it. Other stuff can come up over time once comfort and trust is established. You can usually tell which questions would be intrusive and which wouldn't.

Most MPA's are smart enough to keep their questions low key too. The most common one I get asked is "What do you do for a living?"

While the other questions you mention so strike me as overly personal, intrusive and downright rude, I think your concern about this question (and your interpretation of it) might be an example of hyper-sensitivity. I've asked that question of MPAs many times. Nothing is meant by it except, "I wonder how long she's been doing this?" In my line of work I frequently have people ask me how long I've been at my job. I've had MPAs ask me what I do for a living and how long I've been doing it. I always answer, and I'm usually flattered that they bother asking. What's the big deal?

My conversational gambit usually opens with asking whether they have been busy today. This leads to discussions of how they fill the time between clients and that sometimes opens up discussions of books, school etc...hoping there might be some common or shared interest.
Not really prying, just trying to establish some verbal connection for the time we are together to avoid a totally impersonal sense of being processed.
