Getting oil out of the towels!!

Hi,

Can anybody advise me, please? As a new therapist, I am having a hard time keeping my towels oil free and smelling sweet! I have been adding 3-4 drops of tea tree oil to the wash, and using a temp of 40 in the washing machine, which has helped a bit, but not enough! Is there a magic remedy out there that can help?

HI there

My hubby managed to spill half a bottle of tea-tree blended oil on one of my best throws a few nights ago, what I did was put neat washing up liquid over the spot, (front & back) and put it on a 40 wash and it worked brilliantly.

Someone told me that you can use special stuff from Boots that's designed for washing reusable nappies. Not tried but, but apparently it's really effective.

thanks for all your replies! I knew there must be a straightforward remedy out there somewhere! At the moment I am experimenting with adding vinegar to the wash, which seems to be worling fairly well, but I will try the other suggestions too.

I appreciate the help.

I wash mine at 60 degrees with normal Ariel tablets and Lenor (no advertising) and don't have any problems with oil stains.

Having read the advice on here l will give some of them a go..really need to find an answer on how to get the oil out of my towels....
