Help a newbie from out of town

Is there anyone out there that can guide a complete newbie from the States. I have been reading this message board for the last two days and still have questions to ask and such. I am not sure how to PM or who I should PM for that matter to answer questions and guide me through the process. i will be in Toronto this coming weekend and staying through mid-week. Can anyone help me?
