HENDERSON, Nev. (AP) -- Seven massage parlors in the city of Henderson have been shut down for violating laws aimed at curbing prostitution.
Henderson police say they checked the city's 39 licensed massage and reflexology parlors on Monday and Tuesday after receiving complaints that some of the businesses were breaking the rules or advertising 24-hour service.
The city requires massage businesses to close at 10 p.m., and bars them from blocking the view inside with window coverings or tints.
Police say the seven businesses that were cited had violated one or both of the provisions. They're not allowed to reopen until they meet with the city's business license manager.
Henderson's rules are an effort to crack down on massage parlors that operate as a front for prostitution.
