hi i am a sports massage therapist but i can seem to find any work and its so...

...frustrating? i qualified in june and since then i ring up clinic after clinic and all they say is they have no vacancies or they are a one man partnership. i am currently workin part time with a semi pro club and have one regular client. i have cards with all my details on ive given them into most health centres etc and still nufiink nd its really annoying me. any ideas of where i can go and if i should just give up??

Try volunteering at major sporting events or high schools or whatever. Take your cards. You won't make any money but it will be a good way to get your name out to the right people. We volunteered for the utah summer games. Not only did we get to work on lots of athletes but we got to work on their family and coaches too. It was a lot of fun. Good luck and best wishes!

what area are you in????

try going private and putting an ad in they papers...... this would be far more benificial than working for someone as you will gain all the rewards..... you only need to do a few clients and word of mouth will do the rest!

try talking to some local hairdressers as with our job our backs really suffer. set up a reward scheeme if they introduces 5 clients they get a massage free!!!! leave your cards on the desk.....

all you would need to do is get a table, try sally's hair and beauty if you havent got one they always do end of range sales so you could pick up a bargin!!!!

I am having the same problem with my line of work. Just keep trying, it can easily take 6 months to get work after finishing school.
