Hi all,

I am going to see a friend next week who recently had a hysterectomy. I would like to make up a healing and uplifting blend for her but am concerned it is too soon after her surgery. She had the op approx 6 weeks ago. What oils would you recommend?

6 weeks should be fine - obvioulsy may be too early to start massaging the scar, but a plain massage oil base with high vitamin E content would be ok to rub in gently to support the skin provided it has properly healed over. Lavender is always good for most things, and a little mandarin is good to support healing.

To inhale, Rosemary is good for emotional support and blends well with lavender and pelargonium. However, do try to arrange a face-to-face for her with a qualified aromatherapist.
