I was chatting with an ex from 10 years ago?

Just catching up on this and that (we chat every 6 months or so) and when he found out I am newly single he wanted to plan to see me. I was surprised and asked if he had gotten divorced and he said he hadn't, he was just tired of not getting affection at home. We talked a bit more and it came out that for most of his marriage he's been cheating. I never thought of him as being that type at all! Back before we had dated and while we had dated he was adamant about hating cheaters.

Now, I'm no angel and never have been so I suppose I don't understand what could make a person like that do such a complete turn around. What could change a person so much that their entire moral/value system changes? It would have to be really bad, right?

Oh, and no, I don't want to see him....just making that clear.
I guess it just really makes me sad that 1- a person I admired for his integrity was hiding such a big secret and 2- he thought I would go along with it.... :-(
Erin...I said twice that I wasn't interested in helping him cheat. My question is more about how does someone who used to be honest change so much.

Because he decided his personal interest out did anything he owed his marriage or his marriage vows.

He is a selfish pig.

Don't do it, you're a single woman and that means you're powerful, he chose his lifestyle and now he's stuck with it.
