Hi
Can anyone suggest any oils that would be useful to massage someone with IBS? I'm not suggesting that the oils would 'cure' the IBS but anything that could alieviate or help the symptoms? I can't seem to find any info.

IBS is a very general term and it depends on how the client is presenting on the day of treatment.

A few examples of helpful oils are -

Geranium - balancing
Chamomile - anti spasmodic, anti inflammatory
Peppermint - To help with bloating, anti spasmodic

There are also other oils which deal specifically with diahorrea or constipation.

So you need to assess the symptoms of your client and make a blend accordingly.

I agree, Peppermint is good, as are Rosemary and Marjoram during the constipation phase of IBS. I have had some excellent results with aroma for IBS, especially if the client agrees to have the stomach massaged.
