The Human Exploitation and Trafficking (HEAT) Unit has successfully concluded a seven-month investigation into 7 Star Massage, an illicit massage parlor operating in Reno.
The investigation revealed multiple online advertisements depicting illegal prostitution and included several surveillance operations at the establishment, located at 3967 S. McCarran Blvd, where evidence of prostitution-related activities was found.
On February 26, property owners were formally notified about the prostitution activities occurring on the premises, a violation of Nevada Revised Statute 201.395. Following this notice, 7 Star Massage was evicted and closed on March 13 by the building's owners.
The closure is part of several ongoing investigations by the HEAT Unit, conducted in collaboration with the Reno City Attorney’s Office, Business Licensing, Code Enforcement, and the Nevada State Board of Massage Therapy. Prostitution is illegal in Reno, and the Reno Police Department remains committed to combating human exploitation.
The HEAT Unit will continue to target businesses and individuals involved in prostitution.
Authorities urge anyone with information about illicit massage parlors to contact the Reno Police Department's non-emergency line at 775-334-2677 or reach out to Secret Witness by calling or texting 775-322-4900 or visiting secretwitness.com.
