Is $60000 k a good annual salary for me and my partner in Alberta, Edmonton?

Me and my partner are looking to immagrate to Alberta by end of year from the UK, I have just recieved my contract from my new employer in Edmonton and $65000 k is the annual salary. My partner will eventually get work so there will be two incomes. So maybe some answers from people who live in Edmonton? Or any information would be awsome. Thanks

Well I don't live in Edmonton, but no matter where you live, $65K (not $65000K) is a LOT of money. I make a hair under $50K and I'm living pretty comfortably. Just make sure you get enough winter clothing. Brrrrrr...

i live in toronto which is in ontario. this place is probably the most expensive place in canada. the tax itself is about 14% i think in alberta its 10% but i could be wrong.
lets break it down 60k is about $5000 a month. $1000 goes on the rent for apartment and $1000 could go on expensive including food, and gas. that brings you a $3000 saving but to be on safe side, well say $2000 saving. so i think thats a good salary to live with for a easy normal life.

Yes taxes are less in Alberta however housing can be very expensive and while there are no provincial sales taxes it also means that it's essentially "user pay" for everything that taxes would normally pay for. School busing for kids costs almost $50 a month where in other provinces there is little to no cost. Thats just one example. I know I make $82,000 a year and I still find Edmonton expensive.
