OK, I'm done with this SPA. There are too many alternatives to be subjected to their nonsense. Called to confirm my appointment 15 minutes before arriving, they asked me to push back 15 so I accomodated the request. I showed up on time, was escorted to the room and told Katie would be right with me...

Five minutes later Katie comes in to say sorry, a sudden emergency with her mom and she had to leave, did I want to see jennifer. Well no thank you.

I reminded her that they pulled the same thing with the same excuse but a week before and she gives me some story about her sick family, yada yada yada...whatever.

Honestly, do they all think we have thre intellectual agilitry of a small soap dish? How pathetic - well I'm voting with my feet and not heading back there again.

I've given up trying to see Katie. Twice I've booked an appointment and twice I got cancelled because she wasn't feeling well and went home.

Yeah, once I showed up for an appointment and she apparently had a seizure and had to go home.

I'm beginning to think that she works there mostly as PR person to draw more customers.

I know it sounds like she is making lame excuses, but Katie suffers from epilepsy, and her mother has severe mental problems resulting in numerous suicide attempts. Katie is a sweetheart, and is down to earth and completely straightforward. i've seen her for years, dating back to Kennedy Rd, and I for one will put up withe the inconveniences of seeing her becaus when you finally connect, she is one in a million.

Katie is a great lady who deserves the utmost respect. It's no fun when your appointment is cancelled and Katie would be the first to empathize. I drove from Durham and had the same experience as she didn't make it in on time that day. But she's my number one lady and connecting with her makes any other problem completely forgettable. Cut her some slack. Everyone has challenges at times. When things stabilize (hopefully soon) I'm sure she'll be back up to speed.

Same crap happen to me last week went to go see her when she answered the door she saids she has to leave right away and the only person available is Jessica so i declined....but after an hour I decided to go back to see Jessica because the little guy really needed some action...anyhow Jessica greets me at the door and brings me to the room and on my way there I see Katie coming out of a session with someone........that crap threw me off guard but Jessica was a pretty good sub for that day.......but i just dont understand Katies check and switch routine with customers....

Looks like the lunatics have taken over the asylum. I really think the b chain needs to get rid of some deadwood.

The old girls have a roster of regulars that they service and don't need to hustle anymore and they freeze out any of the new girls who may be rivals.

Have you noticed that any hot newcomers that offer the best service don't stick around long but the lame ones (no threat) always seem to be partnered with Erica/Katie/Emily so they can pick up their scraps.

sniff - I miss the good old days. really hot girls, good price, reliable service and fresh talent on an ongoing basis.

Stepping away from the Katie controversay, I'd also like to throw in my two cents on Lexa/Star.

I was a major fan of this chain for years. I was there on an average of 5-7 times a month. The girls were great.

I barely ever go anymore. Most of the new girls they hire are so lackluster in their service, that it's just not worth it. Even my old favs, like Emily, don't do it for me anymore. I find with Emily, although she provides the same service, is not into it anymore. Maybe girls like her and Katie need a change of atmosphere. Sometimes it helps.

I hope Lexa/Star can go back to their glory days, but I'm not betting on it anymore. I personally think Katie, Emily, and a few of the other vets, are happier with the crappy new attendants. The truth is, if the new girls were great, it would be better for the spas, and hence for the veterans too (more business!).

Just my two cents.

I have tried to see BOTH Emily and Katie 6 consecutive times and when I get there something has come up! If Katie has these issues then fine, but what about Emily!?!?!? You only find out this information when you get to the spa and somebody has had the chance to see you! Sounds a little funny to me!

Felicity, or Erica, two vets with the B chain, have never done this as far as I know. They were always happy to see me. (even when I stumbled in!)

there doing what we all do....that is going to a spa checking out the gals there and if there gross we make up some story to leave......Emily and Katie screens the clients on the phone by name and in person then decides....but the wierd thing is after we make the appointment and rush down to find out that there full of crap and someone else is available....and this happens after seeing them for years i thought it was ymmv but they pull the bait and switch on you......its like there the owners and not careing if you come back???

Just to throw a bomb into the discussion, I say that these are highly personal services, and the ladies should be able to blacklist whomever they want, whenever they want. Think about that quid pro quo the next time you post along the lines of, "went there, didn't like what I saw, walked out".

I don't know what happened, I've seen Katie at least a dozen times but haven't for awhile, she's one of the nicest persons I've met, the kind of person that wears their heart on their sleeve, genuinely cares about your well being. I don't want to speculate the reasons for these incidents, I just wanted to wish Katie all the best and I hope everything is fine with her. It's unfortunate that fellow hobbyists got stood up, I hope the management will address this ASAP for the benefit of everyone.
