Hi,
No Linaloe Wood is not the same as Howood. Both of these oils have been recommended for use instead of Rosewood. As you probably know there is a severe shortage of Rosewood from the Amazon rainforestsand therapists have been advised for some time now not to use it, but to switch to similar oils. Conservation of existing trees and replanting will preserve this wonderful wood and oil from extinction.
Linaloe Wood has very similar properties to Rosewood and smells very similar too and is not endangered.
We can make a difference as aromatherapists if we choose wisely which oils to use this way we help to conserve the valuable resources that are yielded from mother earth.
Luv Binah
