HI there
Hope you do't mind me posting but looking for some advice. I frequently treat a gymnast with aromatherapy massage and her mother has asked for one too. I have spoken to her a few times and upon visual observation and speaking to her have gained knowledge that she has a liver problem and waiting on a transplant. She is keen to have a massage and has had them previously. I have said to her I would need GP permission for this and she has told me that's ok she will get her consultant to say so. She has recieved other treatments too. However she is seeing me this week with daughter and thinks she may want a treatment too. Should I go on her say so that her consultant has said the ok and get her to sign this or should I really have it in writing before I proceed? I don't want to hurt her feelings or seem as though I don't want to treat her as I know all she wants is the relaxation.
I really would appreciate some advice here. Also, apart from the obvious care I should take, is there anything else I should be doing (or not).
Have been on maternity leave for a while with not much in the way of treatments and only just getting back to it so confidence taken a bit of a nose dive.
Look forward to hearing from you.
Tracey
