My yahoo crashes soon as I enter a chat room. What can I do?

for months maybe over a year i dunno this has happened. but it has not mattered because I used yepic and it allowed me into chat. but since they dont have that anymore i am clueless as to how to fix this problem. messager works fine its just the chat that wont work. i type in the antibot code. it goes into chat. i can see the list of people in the room but it instantly stops responding and i have to end task. any suggestions? i am using windows 7 64 bit and i am very sure i dont have any spyware or other crap on my pc.
