I think, in the suburbs, a significant factor is the local police department.

Some departments go after the amps and some don't.
And where they don't, you see a cluster of amps. Also some local
governments may push the police department to act.

Finally, some departments may be on the take.

This is the first amp in the Birdsboro area.
Usually, if one opens up, and stays open, others mushroom up.

The locals did not want that, they pursued it, and closed.

Prostitution at amps is usually if the girl asks for a tip for more than
massage, if you ask "how much for BJ or HJ or F/S and she answers
with a price, it prostitution.

If the amp price is a fixed price, say $160, without any talk,
and you are the initiator of sexual activity, its not prostitution.

If you pay house money, and then there is sex, and then you leave
a tip afterwards, without any discussion, its not prostitution.

Many of the really popular amp girls never talk price, and upon leaving
you lgive a tip, or at the beginning you just lay it down on the
night stand, its not prostitution.

I'm not a lawyer, but that is my impression. A lot of the so-so looking girls demand a tip upfront and if you give $60 and no more they will
tell you that's just for HJ, everything costs more. And they get caught
while the non-negotiators stay alive.

Too bad - I had a couple of decent visits to this place. Whenever I see this, it makes me wonder, "Who are these 'anonymous callers'?" This particular place - as many AMPs are - was low-key, quiet, and somewhat isolated. Is it because people (as the neighbors stated) just assume what's going on inside or do they also get information from sites like this one, where we post detailed reviews of the services provided?

Another question for you lawyers. What actually constitutes prostitution in an AMP? CBJ? HJ? Nudity? Where are the lines drawn?

AMITY — The three women taken into custody from the Lotus Blossom Spa on Route 422 Wednesday have been charged with prostitution and related offenses, authorities confirmed Thursday.

SP, 51, MHL, 31, and SHK, 34, all Korean, listed their address as the Lotus Blossom Spa, 260 Route 422. They were arraigned and committed to Berks County Prison. Bail for Park was set at $100,000 cash and bail for the other two was set at $50,000 cash.

An investigation into the operation of the spa started in May after Amity Township Police received complaints from anonymous callers and neighbors reporting "the prostitution activity occurring inside the massage parlor," Chief County Detective MG wrote in a press release.

Also, an undercover detective from the district attorney's office met with the three women who have been arrested and charged at the spa during the investigation. During the meetings inside the parlor the three women agreed to provide sexual services on the undercover detective in exchange for payment, G wrote in the press release.

Police obtained a search warrant for the establishment from District Judge VF Tuesday, which they executed Wednesday.

In addition to Amity Township police and county detectives, agents from the Department of Homeland Security assisted.

Officials found the three women inside the establishment Wednesday as well as electronic equipment, documents, U.S. currency and condoms.

Detectives determined that P was the manager of the massage parlor.

The owner of Salon 256, which is in a building adjacent to the Lotus Blossom Spa which was also called 260 Massage Therapy, said Wednesday that she and many of her employees and customers were aware of the prostitution that was going on at the Lotus Blossom Spa.

"We saw the trafficking but didn't see any servicing, but we knew what was going on," she said.

The owner of Salon 256 continued to say that the Lotus Blossom Spa had caused problems for her business since it opened in April. Several customers didn't come to her business because they thought Salon 256, which offers relaxation massages, was affiliated with the unlawful spa.

"We're glad they're busted (because) they just caused problems for us," the Salon 256 owner said.

Hearings for the three women are scheduled for Sept. 9 before District Judge VF.

AMITY — Three women at a massage establishment were taken into police custody Wednesday as part of an ongoing investigation by several agencies, including U.S. Customs.

Investigators arrived at the establishment, 260 Massage Therapy, also called the Lotus Blossom Spa, located on Route 422 east, around 1 p.m. and found three women inside.

The women were not identified by police Wednesday and there was no word what, if any, charges had been filed against them.

Investigators at the scene, including members of the Berks County District Attorney’s Forensic Services Unit spent several hours inside the establishment Wednesday afternoon prior to bringing three women in handcuffs out to waiting patrol vehicles.

One official at the scene said the investigation into the business had been ongoing for about three months.

Amity Township Police Chief Kent Shuebrook said more information regarding the investigation would be released by the Berks County District Attorney’s office today.

The investigation, Shuebrook said, is being conducted by the District Attorney’s office in conjunction with his department and U.S. Customs.

He confirmed the three women who were taken into custody were all adults.

The Lotus Blossom Spa which police entered Wednesday afternoon is on the first floor at the rear of a renovated barn. The front portion of the building, which faces Route 422, had a sign hanging on the front windows indicating office space there is available to be leased.

Another building, located less than 50 yards from the renovated barn, houses Salon 256, Salon and Spa. However, the owner of Salon 256 Salon and Spa said her business was not affiliated with the massage establishment where police were investigating.

I gave this place another try last evening. The experience was way better than the first time (as reviewed below). I was met at the door by a different mamasan, an older woman, dressed very professionally. After paying the $.60 house, Anna came in. She is very sensuous and friendly with very nice natural tits. I stopped by here today. My experience was average and in many ways similar to swiggs'. I was met at the door by a younger lady, who led me to the massage room. Then Meesha came in and escorted me to the shower. Decent TS, then back to the room. I paid $.6 plus $1. for FS. It was the usual smorgasbord (massage, CBJ, ACG, mish), but the whole thing seemed mechanical and rushed. Meesha giggled a lot, but it seemed like she was distracted. She twice asked me where I am from and kept saying "You happy?" as if she was asking "So, you gonna cum soon?" There were other clients in the place and she was definitely rushing.

Divided highway...Spa is on the south side (going east).
Excellent furnishings. Looks a great deal like a hotel lobby. Sauna is for one person with large glass door.

Three girls present....No mamma san. Ymi met me at the door. Beautiful looking 28 (?) year old with size B. Flawless figure and very passable English.
Wore only a one piece which I pulled down and pushed up during shower.

Massage began with her nude on my back. No kissing. I asked for mouth wash after session was over. All in all, a very enjoyable time.

Well I caved. I wasn't going to hobby until after my Myrtle Beach trip in two weeks but I got so tired of waiting for a review on this place that I had to TOFTT. It might not have helped that I was home by myself all day doing housework for the wife and felt like getting out late afternoon.

The place is like 20 minutes from me up 422 and is next to the salon. I have a feeling this might not last because of traffic and possible confusion with the salon! Other than the salon being next door, it's in the basement of an old reconditioned barn and entrance is behind building away from highway. I had called on the way up and the girl that answered the phone told me 30 minutes. I made a stop and got there in like 20. Parking lot was full and saw 2 exiting. The place was clean and very nice. I had to wait about 10 minutes until she was ready. The one thing I did not like was if you were waiting you were sort of in the open and could see the entrance to two rooms. I caught a glimpse of another going from the TS to the room. Not very private.

Not sure if the mamasan was the one that let me in and was answering the phones. She was in her 20's and was very cute, wearing a sweat suit. She led me to the room and asked for .5 which is the special until June. She said that after June 1 the normal will be .6 unless you have a coupon for .1. She was very playful in the room and she gave the TS. Guess the other two girls I saw there were busy. It was a nice TS, again she was very playful and gave a lot of attention to the boys. Then guick sauna and pass off the one of the other girls, this one was Meesha. Both were maybe mid-20's and had maybe D's.
