Newbie to fishing. Where should I fish at Rice Lake and what should I use?

I am not planning on catching any specific fish, I have a bauble and a normal hook with a 10-15 pound line.

1. When I go fishing my line keeps wrapping around the end of my fishing rod. How can I prevent this?
2. What is the best area to go fishing at rice lake, i.e. which way to enter and then go.
3. Should I use a bauble? What kind of hook and bait should I use?
4. I am a total newbie to this, so please give me more tips about fishing and etc.
5. Also, I don't care what type of fish I catch, as long as I can eat it. Thanks!

1. The ring at the end of the rod is too small, get a different rod or you could even change the ring
2. I dont live in Canada cant help you
3. If you wanna catch any type of fish you should use night crawlers or corn for carp
4. Tips, be patient you have no idea how annoying it could get to just sit by the water for hours and not catch anything. Im a profetional carp fisherman and when you fish for carp patience is a virtue, dont get frustrated and enjoy your time there even if you dont catch anything like I said night crawlers (worms) are your best shot to catching anything but the big ones you need to wait for
5. As eating the fish just make sure when you clean it, it dosent have some sort of infection, for example catfish will eat anything even other fish that have been dead for some time so as long as the fish looks clean you can eat it
