Baltimore Ravens kicker Justin Tucker has been in the headlines this offseason for the wrong reasons. The seven-time Pro Bowler has been accused of displaying inappropriate behavior during massage sessions.
Last month, The Baltimore Banner reported that six massage therapists accused Tucker of harassment. That number has ballooned up to 16. According to reports, he was banned by at least two massage parlors because of the behavior he displayed from 2012-2016.
Here are some of the details from the initial story, via The Baltimore Banner:
Ravens kicker Justin Tucker engaged in inappropriate behavior at four high-end spas and wellness centers in the Baltimore region, according to six massage therapists, including exposing his genitals, brushing two of them with his exposed penis, and leaving what they believed to be ejaculate on the massage table after three of his treatments.
Several therapists said Tucker’s behavior was so egregious that they ended his sessions early or refused to work on him again. And, at two spas, management said they banned him from returning.
Speaking to OutKick this week, Tucker denied the allegations. He also said he respects massage therapists and their profession.
"I did not act inappropriately at any point before, during, or after a professional bodywork treatment session, nor have I ever been told I am unwelcome at any massage therapy provider," Tucker told OutKick. "I absolutely respect the massage therapy profession and more so the individuals who work as massage therapists."
Tucker's wife, Amanda, has also addressed these concerning allegations. She made it clear that she believes her husband's story.
"The false allegations against Justin have caused so much hurt to our family. I believe my husband, and I love and support him fully," Tucker's wife said.
Judging by the reactions on social media, NFL fans aren't buying Amanda Tucker's statement. They believe she's too blind to see what's going on.
"Love is blind," one person replied.
"One massage therapist might lie, but 16 of them… Nah," another person wrote.
"She only believes him because he’s a millionaire," a third person tweeted. "How is this clown still employed by the NFL?"
Only time will tell if Tucker truly displayed inappropriate behavior at massage parlors in Baltimore.
As for Tucker's future with the Ravens, general manager Eric DeCosta told reporters this week that he'll wait for the league to finish his investigation before he makes a final decision.
"I think we're fortunate that the league is doing an investigation," DeCosta said. "We'll wait as patiently as we can for as much information as we can. We'll make our decisions based on that."
Tucker has been Baltimore's kicker since the 2012 season.
