Sorry guys. This is off topic but I'm an out of towner and was wondering if anyone knows a gym nearby the HFH or IT area that allows drop ins? I usually stay in these areas when I'm in the GTA for business.

I understand Extreme Fitness which is on Yonge St just south of the 407 allows drop ins for a fee.

Just spend a couple of hours at HFH or IT and you won't need a gym. I am sure Paul could suggest a personal trainer that can put you through your paces!

There's a Bally's Matrix at Hwy 7 and Hwy 400 that is fairly new and has tons of new weight and cardio equipment. It's only 10 minutes from HFH unless it's during rush hour.

Bally's is garbage. If you want a yuppy gym with middle aged porkers yapping about the latest episode of Friends while you are trying to workout, PA announcements every 30 seconds asking the janitor to clean the bathroom's,10 year old ratty equipment,etc. Then by all means join. I used to belong to a Bally's because it was a 3 minute drive from my house, it was so bad that I stopped my membership there and now go to a really good gym that's a 20 min drive from my house.

The Bally's in Woodbridge is only 1-2 years old which translates to new equipment. Even the older Bally's around the city have renovated and brought in new equipment. I assume you are just joking around as usual.

I guess we just have different opinions as to what makes a good gym.

If you want to see how new the equipment is at the Ballys on Gordon Baker Drive in North York,please do. They have Nautilus machine's from the late 70's there with spider's crawling on them.

I have to agree with Rusty! The Ballys on Gordon Baker Drive in North York SUCKS! Mind you I have to also agree with Humble D the woodbridge location is SWEET! Unless maybe if you want to socialize but that is another question.
