Hi All
A while ago i managed to get one litre of Rose Oil from a friend abroad,however there seems to be a strong solvent smell within the oil.does anyone know of any simple method of separating the solvent from the oil .i have had oil before from same source which was Ok.I believe that solvents are used in extraction methods for essential oils.
Can anyone help or know where i can get or build a small condensor

Presumably if it has a strong solvent aroma then you have bought rose absolute rather than rose otto? As far as I know, there is no way of eradicating the smell of the solvent and it is just part of the aroma of that particular oil, caused (as you say) by the extraction method.

Any process you may be able to apply will also presumably further alter the therapeutic benefits of the oil too.
