So I'm trying to get my own business off the ground and I am interested in providing outcall massages. I already work for a mobile spa and I love it. It also pays very well, but is very seasonal. Anyway, this company is a reputable business and I have never been in a situation where I have been sent somewhere unsafe or anything like that. My question is, to anyone who does outcall on their own:
What do you do to "screen" your clients who call for a massage?
I'm just kind of nervous that I might run into weirdos if I don't ask enough questions on the phone. A MT I know says she always says something like, "I give a theraputic, non-sexual massage." According to her that gets the person to hang up right away if they were looking for something inappropriate, and if they stay on the line she knows they're legit. But... I don't know how I would feel about saying outright what she says to her potential clients. I mean, isn't that like assuming that everyone who calls has that bad idea? But then again you are also protecting yourself. Maybe I can somehow reword this? Any ideas would be much appreciated, tell me what you think!
