Hi there
Haven't posted for a while due to new baby but now thinking of seriously getting back to therapy business. I am hoping to carry out some pamper parties and have booked my first one for two weeks time practising on a few friends. Have made up my speech etc telling them about the benefits etc of aromatherapy massage. My main concern however is alcohol. I know we have to advise not to consume alcohol but considering it's a chance to get away from the hubby and kids etc, the majority are I presume going to want to have a drink (or two or three or maybe more). I'm going to advise them of the side effects etc and have a bit in my consultation to say that they have been advised and are willing to go ahead.
What I wondered though (I know one of the reasons we shouldn't drink and receive a massage is because as we are in effect moving blood and whatever is in it (alcohol) around the body, there is greater chance of the alcohol having greater effect quicker than normal) is if the people who liked to have more than 2 or 3 drinks were to go first, would it still have as much effect on them. What I mean is if someone had a few to drink, then I massaged, they could become drunker quicker,, however if I massaged first then they were to have a few would the effect still be the same?
Sorry for rambling on, but someone's bound to ask this.
ps If anyone has any pointers or guidance on having pamper parties I'd welcome the advice.
Thanks in advance
Tracey
