Poll: Why MPA versus SP?

Never done SP myself... so it's got me wondering...

Why do those of you who frequent MP's do so, rather than SP's?

Actually, I do both but prefer a MPA because I like to get a massage and at that point I can decide if I want more. I don't always want FS. Usually more times than not, an MPA will provide FS if you offer the right $$$.

Well, I really don't care about an actual massage, but it is a good way to make the transition and build a level of comfort. I'm also lazy with giving massages, so really massages don't enter the picture in any real sense. I also hate oil and powder.

As for seeing escorts, I really don't enjoy sex (FS/BJ ) with a condom in general, due to the mental and senses barrier, so why bother seeing SP's. To find all my required criteria and someone who would go BB would be a major task and to me the acts are not worth the risk, no matter how small [to me or her]. That's not to say I wouldn't do it with my dream MPA, because I am weak, but I don't seek it out and it's not necessary.

There's more of an element of the unknown with MPA's in many cases. YMMV etc. The challenge and the anticipation upon repeated sessions of what may or may not become, as well as the ego stroke of such things as surprise DFK I think are a factor for many

I ain't no porn star by any stretch of the imagination and find FS can be too much work, so I prefer to indulge in foreplay type sensuality within the realm of hobbying. I'd much rather spend more time with acronyms like DATY and DFK [PJFF, RJ giving, PM receiving etc] than FS & BJ's anyway. It's just how I am.

I prefer the whole MP experience and for me it's all about the journey. So my reasoning focuses on that aspect. The "release" is secondary and in some cases almost inconsequential. In other words, I'd rather continue with the acronym at hand if time is fleeting.

Most of your options Kracker, don't apply to me, except that looks do count a lot initially in my decision as to who I see. Although looks can never be the sole factor, they do remain a primary factor, all other things being present in the mix ( chemistry, acronyms etc )

It doesn't really matter whether any of my perspectives are delusional, because fantasy is our reality, as much as we want it to be.

Also, it is easier to drop by an MP at will, especially by TTC, than to book even an incall. An outcall, if it were my thing, is right out of the question as it would cost me hotel $ on top. A massage table is better than my pull out couch.

is a big thing. If I'm hunting around and don't feel like seeing someone in particular, I am more confident that by the way most MP's work I can find someone who meets my needs at that time. With respect to what I am looking for, it depends. I also am not really looking for FS or BBBJ etc. I do know, as many on this board do that it exists and that it's not that hard to find. But I too am drawn by the mystique of what the next encounter may bring, can I make it a really exciting, erotic encounter without the nasty, straight out dollars for a f*$k. Maybe some might say I'm prudish, but I look at it as more of an adventure and less like a role playing session. I know what I can get if I want to pay for it. Sometimes I just want to see what my personality can buy me. Sometimes I actually do enjoy the massage, sometimes I just want a HJ. I guess it just comes down to the fact that for my style of hobbying, MPA's are the best fit. Happy hobbying, whatever your flavour.

Many of the MPA's at the high end MP's are beautiful like models and very sensual. I tend to spend more $ at a MP and receive less, but there is something about the whole experience.

I've found many SPs to be mechanical and rushed, not that I haven't had the same experience with MPAs, but sometimes its nice to just go for a massage and relax. It all depends on my mood, there are some times when I want to go see my favorite MPAs (Sara V, Shauna, etc.) and there are times when I want to see my fave SP (Pamela). Cost has never been the factor for me, just mood swings decide what I feel like doing on a given day.

Yes: SP's who have the looks of an Amber/Cameron/Tarah have astronomical fees
Yes: I actually like the massage - both giving/receiving
Yes: You can easily sop around to find the cute ones
No: No SO; No issue with entertaining anyone.
Also: MPs less risk of getting tagged with the "found-in" charge.

I could waste several paragraphs echoing what Pool and Revolver have said. I've had much better luck with overall satisfaction over the years by seeing MPAs rather than SPs.

thanks for the insights, guys - it's always tempting for me to think that the grass is greener, but I'm actually pretty happy with the couple of MPAs that I'm now seeing... and the "incall thing", being able to just drop in when I'm horny, is marvellous....
