Predictions for 2005

Okay, been only a few days into 2005 and we have seen a few changes at some of the top MP.

So, I would like to know what some of your predictions are for 2005 and we can see if any of them get realized before the end of the year.

Oh ... me ... you say, I guess my predictions are:

I think that it may be a rocky year for MP, not due to LE but I get this feeling that the year started off on the wrong foot.

I don't see many all-star MPA leaving the biz, but I do see some new ones coming on the scene that will cause a stir.

I see an increase in membership here at massageplanet.net and that the Newbies will post more reviews, which I support. I will help this by publishing a few myself.

1.) An increase in the number of younger ladies entering the MP biz ... preferrably more blondes.

2.) More man-mades on the MP scene.

3.) No price increase at any of the top MP's, especially Allure and SRM.

4.) Olivia @ Silhouette's attitude will remain the same.

5.) Allure will remain the top MP in Mississauga, and SRM will continue to dominate in Brampton.

- I really hope you're right but there are a handfull of retired favorites I would like to see make a triumphant return to the biz.
However it is always fun to browse new talent...

I see and hear discontent in among the owners and women who work at the spa's. I have felt it growing more and more as the months progressed. I hope that I am wrong, but this is what I feel currently.

Look at the thread on B&T, see how something so informative can turn so nasty, check the times of this initial thread to the posts made afterwards in that thread and you get an idea of what I mean.

We come here to have fun, yet "things" happen in this hobby that make me regret my coming back.

I should have made myself clear, the discontent is "among" not "between" the owners and women, everyone knows that the owners and the women do not get along all the time and sometimes an MPA leaves an MP, happens all the time. Of course they left because they were unhappy, they even stated it but we already knew.

So above is a timeline. You will note that after her upbeat post that things start to get nasty, they always do in a Tarah thread and the dirt was dished out.

The above is just one example. There is more than one event that leads me to this prediction. Do you think I would base something like that on one event? You can see it in many threads and posts, and if you talk to many MPAs you hear a similar vibe.

The real reason why MPA quit the business is because of MEN, the reason they enter the business is because of $$$. If they really liked their job they would not retire unless they had enough $$$ or found a mate. If you can understand this part then you know what I am getting at.

In conclusion, if you think that I like to "pat" myself on the back, I don't have to, many members here thank me more than enough times for helping them out. I call it given back to the community and I appreciate it. You on the other hand ...

Don't know if this is a perdicton, but just be for the hollidays I went for a beer with a buddy at a S.C. and it was just dead! My buddy started to chat-up the waitress and asked about the lack of "tallent" she said alot of the girls were going to work in the M.P.'s cos the S.C. had out priced themselves and the $ just weren't there anymore. Again I don't go to the S.C.'s that offter so I can't comment on wether things are going that way, or not, but this was an older gal who had been in the Biz for quite some time.

For me 2005 looks very predictable.

Allure will still be my #1.
Srm is going to stay as my #2.
IT (After bringing the 45 mins session back) will take over #3.
Hfh is going to do the same and will be #4.
(Unless if someone way too amazing shows up at any of these spas then the order of preference can definately change).

I predict a catastrophic stock market crash
in the 2nd half of this year. Will see Dow Jones
plunging below 6000. This will trigger a
depression.

While many hobbyists will lose their shirts
exta services in MPs will also become a lot
cheaper in difficult times. I envision that a lot
of otherwise unwilling women including housewives,
professional women who lost their jobs
and college cuties will have to go into this business
to make ends meet.

Oh boy I've got to start saving money for this
impending golden era of cheap hobbying.

Nobody here has discussed what would happen when strip clubs start closing down. I know many in the business and they say times are very tough and not many know how they will survive the next 12 months.

Strip Clubs - With the VISA issue, will see a decline in business this year, but will probably pick up by the end of the year.

MPA - A lot of good talent will leave the business this year. Main reason is that the good talent got most of the business in 2004, and have money to persue other endeavours. I see more in-call/indy operations opening up.

SP - Chanel will lose her lawsuit. But the supply will always be there as demand remains.

Strip Clubs should have learned the lessons long ago, gouging dosent help long term business, now its all Boo Hoo from them... Big deal..... let them rot.... so many negative things I can say about them, and few positives.

I agree the economy is going to take a hit. I think we will have much higher interest rates, a much lower US dollar, higher oil and gold prices. I also think there will be a limited military strike against Iran by either the US or Israel.
