In the late 80's / early 90's I somehow managed to get an itchy Psoriasis skin problem across my chest - I had no idea what caused it and neither did my GP at the time; everything I was given made no difference... Until I tried neat Sandalwood Mysore essential oil. After applying this for about a month, every evening, the condition completely disappeared.
Recently in the last 3-4 months the same condition has returned, just as itchy as before and all over my body in very small patches; middle back, arms ankles etc - it is random small patches and extremely irritatingly itchy!
However, I believe that the original Indian Sandalwood is now considered environmentally at risk and therefore not only would it be expensive to buy - it would also be unethical too. As an alternative I am using the Australian Sandalwood oil (Eucarya Spicata) but today is the first day I have applied it. I don't hold as much hope for this oil compared to the original - it is barely 20% of the aroma and clear and less viscous; but I'm prepared to try...
I am aware that with some oils they should never be applied neat, undiluted to the skin; but have used various oils for some 15 years and in fact have twice run businesses that sold them. I don't see any particular harm with this current one.
My question is this: Does anyone else have any advice on specific successful treatments of Psoriasis - and would you recommend any other oils to apply?
Kind regards
Apollo
